| The Blaine Problems: |
| The Vikings stadium
proposal in Blaine certainly works for ten football
games and tailgating every year, but it doesn’t
work very well for the many other events hosted by
the Metrodome. |
| |
| NCAA Final Fours
and Regional basketball games draw mostly out-of-state
sports fans that need hotel accommodations near
the event. Blaine certainly doesn’t have the
hospitality industry infrastructure the Twin Cities
have. |
| |
| Concerts, Super
Bowls, World Series, conventions, and other major stadium
events belong in the Twin Cities, not in Blaine. |

| Imagine... |
| Side-by-side
Twins and Vikings stadiums that share: |
| • a common
retractable-roof system |
| • heating & cooling
systems |
| • land & infrastructure |
| • structured & surface
parking |
| • tailgate
areas |
| • a "sports
mall" with numerous dining, retail, conference & entertainment
options |
| • ancillary
development |

| |
| |
| Imagine
a world-class sports bar and grill overlooking both
stadiums |
| Imagine
underground parking for private suite and “club
seat” patrons. |
